SOMETHING ON YOUR MIND?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What paper should I use for my wedding invitations?

You don’t need a PhD in paper weight to choose the right cardstock for you and your budget. We cover everything from paper weight and texture to printing on a tiny budget in the Print Guide.

But if you’d prefer the Cliff’s Notes, we love this linen and this cotton cardstock.

How much will printing cost (and will I really save any money?)

Printing costs vary, but on average 100 invitations, RSVPs, details cards and envelopes will cost you

  • At home: $145
  • At local print shop: $180
  • Online: $215
    –

But we’ve had brides who have managed to print everything for less than $100 by choosing less expensive cardstock and envelopes.

Can I change the text/font size/font colors on the template?

Yes! In fact we want you to make these templates 100% your own. All text and fonts (including size and color) are completely customizable. You can even rearrange, add and delete entire blocks of text, if you like.

Can I change artwork colors or size?

Artwork and illustrations are fixed images and cannot be edited at this time. You can, however, delete them entirely.

What size are these templates?

Our invites and enclosures are standard U.S. sizes and include a .25” bleed (or margin). Card sizes are as follows:

  • Invitation: 5” x 7” (require A7 envelopes)
  • RSVP: 3.5” x 5” (require A1 envelopes)
  • Details and Miscellaneous Enclosures: 4” x 5.5”
    –

Template sizes cannot be changed at this time.

What size paper do they print on?

In “paper save mode”, templates print on either US Letter (8.5” x 11”) or A4 paper.

You can also choose to download the single version of each template to print on pre-trimmed paper or upload to an online printer.

Paper sizes cannot be changed at this time.

Can I change the template or paper size?

Unfortunately, template and paper sizes can’t be changed at this time.

How long does this take and what if I don’t have time for this?

Making anything for your wedding is a time investment, we know. But when it comes to invitations, 90% of what you’re paying for is someone else’s time. And those costs add up quickly. If you don’t have time to do it yourself, ask your bridesmaids, mom or future mother-in-law to help out. Or simply download your chosen design and upload it to an online printer who can do the rest for you.

What supplies do I need?

Aside from paper, envelopes and a printer, the only other thing you might need is a paper cutter to trim out your invites. We swear by this one, but any will do. You can even head to your local Kinkos or FedEx Office and use their paper cutter for free (just don’t tell them we sent you).

Do you offer refunds?

We give you the option to try out all of our templates long before paying a dime (just click the “try before you buy” link in the item description), so hopefully you never feel the need to request a refund. Sadly, once a template is purchased, we can’t offer refunds for printing, trimming, mailing or not-reading related issues. If you run into an issue with our templates themselves, send us an email and we’ll be glad to help you out or issue a full refund.

What if I don’t like the print quality?

All of our templates can be downloaded as super high-resolution 300 dpi PDF files, which is the crème-de-la-crème. If you would like to do a test-print before purchasing a template, click here for a printable sample. If your invitations look grainy or not like you expected, it has to do with the quality of your chosen printer. Nowadays you can get professional quality from online printers or local print shops for not much more than printing at home.

Help! My template looks blurry on my computer screen!

Don’t worry. Your computer screen may display your template at a much lower resolution than what you’re able to download. We promise the downloadable file will look crisp, clean and perfect – just make sure to choose the 300 dpi version as opposed to 72 dpi (if you’re not given an option, it’s automatically set to 300 dpi) and you’ll be good to go.

Can you change the artwork/layout/size of the template for me?

Sadly, we’re unable to make changes to artwork (including artwork colors), layout, template size or paper size at this time.

Can you fill in the template for me?

Not at this time but this may change in the future!
